In line with our business growth strategy, several vacancies have arisen in our company in all the regions we operate from. Applications are therefore invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Tied Sales Agents tenable at our offices in Blantyre, Lilongwe, Mzuzu and Mangochi; while Independent Sales Agents are free to operate from any location of their choice within Malawi.
Job purpose
To plan and carry out direct marketing and selling of life insurance products which Vanguard Life Assurance Company offers to the public in accordance with clients’ changing Insurance needs and business plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct selling of life insurance services as per agreed budgets, product mix and timescales
- Approach potential clients by utilizing phone solicitation and making presentations
- Develop a base for long-term sources of clients by using referrals to compile lists of prospects.
- Maintain and develop existing and new customers through planned individual account support in liaison with the company’s administration staff.
- Follow up sales enquiries by post, emails, telephone, and personal visits.
Personal profile:
- Mature, well groomed, credible and a team player.
- Self driven and results oriented with a positive outlook.
- An excellent face to face and telephone communicator with good negotiating skills.
- Confident, hard working and Enthusiastic.
- Not below 25 years of age.
Experience & Qualification:
- Professional Certificate in Marketing, Business Studies, Finance, or Insurance.
- Experience in Life Insurance sales will be an added advantage.
- Computer Literacy will be an added advantage.
