As a partner of ChildFund, recently the organization secured grant from ChildFund Korea through ChildFund Ethiopia for implementing a project called ‘‘Improving women’s and infants’ health status”

Therefore, we would like to invite interested and qualified applicants for the Maternal & Child Health Grant Project Coordinator vacant position.

Job Summary

The Project coordinator is responsible for the successful implementation, follow up and completion of all activities designed in MCH & ANC/PNC project in Gedeo Zone selected Kebeles of Dill Zuria and Wonago Woredas. The incumbent is also responsible in achieving the designed output and objectives of the project through effective collaboration with responsible Government line departmental and other relevant organizations and ensure the specific results are achieved in proper quality and tine and all necessary administrative and financial rules are adhered to Government regulation and donor’s requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide supportive supervision and support for successful implementation of multiple projects activities and all levels of the project cycle.
• Manage project team
• Provide technical guidance for staff under his/her supervision
• Ensure the quality of project services
• Ensure the synergy of the project with other program
• Control monitoring and evaluation process of the project
• Formulation of alternative project strategies and proposal development when deemed
• Representing Balaya CFCO to donors, authorities and community meeting as deemed
• Collaborate with HEW, HDAs, Health workers, Local authorities in disseminating the importance of having full cycle of ANC service, institutional delivery and PNC to expectant mothers
• Coordinate with health workers, health posts and health centers for quality improvement of ANC, PNC and institutional delivery service in the project operational areas
• Ensure quality of project plan, reports, M&E activities, essential data are prepared, delivered to donors and government and documented at organization monthly, quarterly and annually
• Collect essential data and document best practices

Report to: Manager

Employment Type: One year contract with the possibility of extension based on availability of fund and work performance.

CONTACT/ KEY RELATIONS

• The incumbent is expected to collaborate with government counterparts, donors/partners and with other Balaya CFCO staffs

Qualification and Experience:

• Masters/ Bachelor’s Degree in public health, nursing and related social study fields and 4/5 years and above experience
• Four years or more of relevant experience in managing maternal and child health and reproductive health program
• General knowledge of the principle and operational aspects of integrated reproductive health/maternal/child health care
• At least two years of clinical experience on MCH services such as Labor & Delivery, ANC, family planning and EPI
• Experience in team management
• Excellent in spiking and written English and good in communicator in Gedeu’ffa
• Good knowledge of NGO working rules

• Ability to work with stamina and noncompliant in emergency case
