Staff Management: Manages, leads, supervises and supports the project implementation particularly Child and Community Development Project; supports the development of high performing teams at the program/project operational area level and ensures that appropriate procedures and policies are followed;
Program Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation: Ensures that each Field Office staff develops realistic and strategically focused quarterly and monthly program implementation plans which encompass existing commitments to donors and government; ensure the proper expenditure and timely utilization of the budget allocated for the respective projects;
Program Implementation and Technical Support: Prepares and implements Field Offices’ activity plan; works with field office staffs and program staff to assess and identify needs with regard to technical skills, supervision support, etc. for new and on-going programs/projects;
Financial Management and Administration: Monitors budget utilization and sets systems to improve financial management and budget utilization of program per plans and commitments made to donors and government, and that appropriate revisions and adjustments are made when needed;
Networking and Learning: Establishes and maintain formal and informal communication mechanisms with government, community partners, and other stakeholders
Job Requirements
Job Requirement:
Education: MA or BA degree in Development Planning, Project Management, Sociology or relevant fields 4/6 years related experience
Work Experience: Minimum of 4 years for M.A and six years’ for B.A in project management/coordination in the NGO sector or similar nature.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to work independently, innovatively, strategically and collaboratively;
- Proven experience in report writing and in Monitoring and Evaluation practices;
- Excellent IT skills, especially MS Word, Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage complex and sensitive organizational relationships.
- Spoken and writing knowledge in English, Amharic & Afan Oromo languages
Duty Station: Woliso, South West Shoa Zone
Reports to: Deputy Executive Director
Terms of employment: One year contract with possible extension based on proven performance,
