Post: Human Resource Management Officer (Grade I)

Salary: Within the Grade I salary scale segment

Location: Various Ministries and Departments

Qualifications

Applicants should be Senior Assistant Human Resource Management Officers (Grade J) with a minimum of four (4) years experience in that post or serving officers in the Civil Service/non-serving in possession of a bachelor’s degree in either Human Resource Management/Development, Public Administration or Business Administration/Management/Studies obtained from accredited institutions

Duties

  • Administer/interpret Malawi Public Service Regulations, Malawi Public Service Commission Regulations and Public Service Act;
  • Process requests for appointments, confirmation and substantive promotions;
  • Carry out initial processing/examination of disciplinary cases;
  • Participate in the preparation of estimates on personal emoluments;
  • Supervise and co-ordinate staff subordinate to them, etc_

Note:

Documentary evidence of major requirements specified in the advertisement shall be needed during interviews. Serving officers will also be required to demonstrate during the interviews that they are permanent and pensionable officers in the Civil Service by producing letters of confirmation in appointment in addition to letters of appointment (PSR 19).
