Florensis Ethiopia PLC is a multinational exporting company producing cuttings from annuals and perennials. The company  manages around 800 workers throughout the year and around 300 additional seasonal workers in high production season. The company is situated in Oromia Region, Eastern Shoa Zone: Lume Woreda Koka Negewo Kebele(near koka town).

Typical Responsibilities – Key End Results of Position:

• Overall management of the Elite department of Florensis Ethiopia PLC, both on Agronomy and Production.
• Discuss and decide with Production Department on the planning of buildup of the Elite material
• Responsible for maintaining all equipment in Elite department like spray machine, knife, scissor, irrigation materials, etc.
• Responsible and put in place FLAQ regulation and code of practice.
• Attend Operational meetings and contribute to the issues by making good preparation.
• Administer Employees of the department in hire, fire and other Hr activities.
• Report critical issues to immediate supervisor.
• Discuss and decide with the Agronomy Department on chemical spray program
• Continuous training of Elite employees on plant sanitation and hygiene
• Manage and train Coordinator and group Leader of the Elite Department
• Discuss any problems with the Production and logistics Manager
• Control and count incoming plants and report to the Management.
• Be the counterpart of Nucleus Stock and Basic Material Planner Florensis HQ in Holland
• Performs other related duties as may be required
• Communications and Working Relationships:

Internally: Effective interaction with production and logistics manager.

Externally: Effective interaction with head office in Holland especially on planning issues.

Educational Qualification and Experience:

• MSC in horticulture, plant science or related field with at least 3 years relevant work experience or BSC degree in horticulture, plant science or related field with minimum 5 years relevant work experience.
