Post: Assistant Instructor (Electrical Installation) (Grade K)

Salary: Within the Grade K salary scale segment

Location: Mangochi Community Technical College

Qualifications

Applicants should be in possession of either Malawi Advanced Craft Certificate/City and Guilds Part II Certificate/City and Guilds Technician Diploma (with red ribbon) in Electrical Installation/Engineering, Malawi Tevet Advanced Certificate (Level 3) in Electrical Installation/Engineering or a diploma after successful completion of a recognised indentured apprenticeship in Electrical Installation/Engineering and Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE).

Duties

Prepare schemes of work and lesson plans for students; supervise students during workshop practice; arrange materials for workshop practice and instructions; prepare electrical engineering materials for practical assessment and examination; enforce adherence to health and safety practices in workshops, etc.

Note:

Documentary evidence of major requirements specified in the advertisement shall be needed during interviews. Serving officers will also be required to demonstrate during the interviews that they are permanent and pensionable officers in the Civil Service by producing letters of confirmation in appointment in addition to letters of appointment (PSR 19).
