Mothers and Children Multisectoral Development Organization (MCMDO) is an Ethiopian resident charity organization registered in accordance with charities and Societies proclamation No 621/2009 with a certificate No 0022. MCMDO currently is being implementing more than 22 Humanitarian response and development projects in Oromiya, SNNPR, Ethiopia-Somali, Gambella, Benishangul Gumuz, Tigray, Amhara, Harari, Dire Dawa and Addis Ababa City Administration.
Currently MCMDO has planned to implement a project entitled “Emergency Seed support project for Gedeo IDPs fleet from West Gujii zone. To this end, MCMDO would like to hire competent candidates for the following posts.
- Identify needs and provide inputs for the zonal coordinator regarding technical recommendations for the procurement of seeds and farm tools
- To provide technical support for DA and farmers and closely work with woreda agriculture office staffs
- Jointly identify households eligible for seed support and support to resume or start crop and vegetables production
- Plan and organize seed distribution
- Conduct woreda level joint monitoring and supervision visits and post distribution follow ups
- To monitor document processes, successes, challenges and lessons learnt in the implementation of the IYCN Right Start project woreda level.
- Prepare monthly progress report, statistics report and Work plan.
- Attend quarterly woredas level performance review meetings, and present the findings of the project, supportive supervision and implementation status of the project.
- Compile reports

Job Requirements
- BSC/Diploma in Plant Since or related field
- At least 5 years working experience for Diploma and 3 years for BSC
- Experience in Emergency seed support projects especially on crop and vegetables production sectors.
- Experience working with woreda government stakeholders
- NGO experience is a plus.
- Experience in working in the respective woreda level where he/she is applying.
- Good presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Effective team working skills.
