JOB SUMMARY:

The position holder is responsible for the nutrition implementation in the woreda and working closely with the woreda health office, Woreda admiration, Keble admiration, community, and religious leaders, HWs, HEWs, and CHVs for the effective implementation and linkage of CMAM program with the community and facility. In addition, the position holder is also expected to provide a consistent and high quality report on time in relation to CMAM implementation and he or she will make sure the programme quality, make sure the following woreda to build strong CMAM implementation package. He/she will also oversee overall health and nutrition implementation in the woreda of Moyale, Mubarak and Qardaduma.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

·            Supports and liaise with the health centre staff and provide on the job training and capacity building where required,

·            Oversees programme quality, SMART

·            Makes sure that CMAM program is implemented according to the National protocol i.e. application of the admission and discharge criteria, closely monitors and strictly follows anthropometry measurement

·            Makes sure that the health staff have adequate training on the management of Nutrition as per National protocol

·            Reports any problems in a timely manner to the Health and Nutrition Coordinator

·            Coaches and supervises the Nutrition Activities

·            Upholds the image and values of SC at all times,

·            Performs other related tasks as required and tasks assigned by the organization.

·             Creates and maintain relationship with local health and other authorities and try to link CMAM program with the existing health structure smoothly,

·            Complied weekly, monthly and Quarterly reports to the three woreda of qardaduma, Moyale and Mubarak and submit to Health and Nutrition Coordinator

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATION

·            BSC/Diploma in Nurse/midwife and Public health

EXPEREINCE

·            Minimum two years working experience for BSC and four years’ experience for Diploma holders out of which two-year experience directly related to emergency health & nutrition particularly SC

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITY

·            Knowledge, training and experience in CMAM and community mobilization/BCC

·            Demonstrated skills in program planning, implementation and monitoring.

·            Demonstrated skills in peer group training, Training of Trainers and development of training materials.

·            Proficiency in spoken and written Amharic, English and Local language.

·            Strong computer (Microsoft skills), all and interpersonal skills.

·            Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
