MECHANICAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT
STAFF ASSOCIATE/LECTURER/SENIOR LECTURER/PROFESSOR IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING (SOLID MECHANICS/APPLIED MECHANICS)
For Staff Associate, candidates must have a Bachelors Degree with at least a credit in Mechanical Engineering and willing to undergo a specialized training in Solid Mechanics or Applied Mechanics.
Applicants for the post of Lecturer should possess a Bachelors Degree with at least a credit plus an MSc in Mechanical Engineering specializing in Solid Mechanics or Applied Mechanics. Applicants for the post of Senior Lecturer and above should possess a Bachelors Degree with at least a credit plus a MSc or a PhD in Mechanical Engineering specializing in Solid Mechanics or Applied Mechanics plus relevant publications. Chartered or Registered Engineers with experience in design of machine elements will have an added advantage.
MAJOR DUTIES FOR ACADEMIC POSITIONS
Successful candidates will be responsible for teaching, research, consultancy and outreach services.
