University of Livingstonia Recruitment 2019
University of Livingstonia is a registered and accredited Private Christian University by the National Council of Higher Education (NCHE). It was established in 2003 by the CCAP Synod of Livingstonia to complement government effort in offering higher education. Its mission is to educate and inspire learners who shall transform society through excellence in teaching, research, consultancy, and learning environment.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates of Malawian origin for the vacant positions tenable in the University of Livingstonia, as follows:
ACADEMIC POSITIONS
1. Lecturer in Human Rights
Applicants should have a minimum of Master’s Degree in Human Rights or related field from a reputable University. Those with teaching experience at tertiary level will have an added advantage.
Successful applicants should be able to teach human rights courses.
2. Lecturer in Education
Applicants should have a minimum of Master’s Degree with specialisation in Testing and Measurement from a reputable University. Those with teaching experience at tertiary level will have an added advantage.
Successful applicants should also be able to teach Educational Foundations.
3. Lecturer in Chemistry
Applicants should have a minimum of Master’s Degree in chemistry or applied Chemistry from a reputable University. Those with teaching experience at tertiary level will have an added advantage.
4. Lecturer in Physics
Applicants should have a minimum of Master’s Degree in Physics or related field from a reputable University. Those with teaching experience at tertiary level will have an added advantage.
Successful applicants should be able to teach the following courses: Nuclear Physics, Quantum Mechanics and Electrical communications among other courses.
5. Lecturer in Biology
Applicants should have a minimum of Master’s Degree in Biology or related field from a reputable University. Those with teaching experience at tertiary level will have an added advantage.
Successful applicants should be able to teach the following courses.. Genetics and Evolution, Plant Pathology and Biochemistry.
6. Lecturer in Accountancy
Applicants should have a minimum of Master’s Degree in Accountancy or Economics from a reputable University. Those with teaching experience at tertiary level will have an added advantage.
7. Lecturer in Commerce (Banking and Financing)
Applicants should have a minimum of Master’s Degree in Commerce (Banking and Finance) or related field from a reputable University. Those with teaching experience at ternary level will have an added advantage.
8. Lecturer in Business Management
Applicants should have a minimum of Master’s Degree in Business Management and Public Administration or related field from a reputable University. Those with teaching experience at tertiary level will have an added advantage
9. Lecturer in Commercial Studies (Entrepreneurship)
Applicants should have a minimum of Master’s Degree in Commerce with specialisation in Entrepreneurship from a reputable University. Those with teaching experience at tertiary level will have an added advantage.
10. Lecturer in Procurement and Logistics
Applicants should have a minimum of Master’s Degree in Procurement and Logistics from a reputable University. Those with teaching experience at tertiary level will have an added advantage.
11. Lecturer in Public Health
Applicants should have a minimum of Master’s Degree in Nursing from a reputable University. Those with teaching experience at tertiary level will have an added advantage.
12 Lecturer in Statistics
Applicants should have a minimum of Master’s Degree in Statistics or Mathematics with bias in Statistics from a reputable University. Those with teaching experience at tertiary level will have an added advantage.

- Readiness and willingness to assimilate, uphold, and promote the teachings and values of the CCAP Synod of Livingstonia.
- Applicants should be in age range of 20 to 55 years.
Period of Contract: Above appointments will be on contract for a period of 3 years.
