Women Support Association (WSA) is an indigenous non-political, non- religious, non-profit, humanitarian and development oriented organization working in Ethiopia to the improvement of the social, economic, and physical well-being of the poor women in particular and the community in general. Currently the organization is operating in two regions SNNPR and Amhara National Regional States.

WSA envisions seeing Ethiopian women empowered. The mission of WSA is to create conducive environment for women to realize and utilize their potentials for sustained livelihood.

Currently, WSA is seeking to hire competent, qualified and interested candidate on Women Empowerment Program Coordinator who coordinates programs at the head office level. The programs under her coordination are funded by different funding partners and implemented at different WSA field offices.

General Duties and responsibilities

• Develop annual and quarter action plans.
• Work as member of Program Designing Team (PDT) and contributes in production of sound concept notes and proposals.
• Conduct regular and participatory monitoring to ensure proper implementation of project activities.
• Review and timely submit quarter and annual reports to MELA section.
• Strengthening partnership and networking with funding partners and stakeholders.
• Responsible for efficient and effective utilization of project resources.
• Maintain good team spirit and work relation with staffs, funding partners and target groups.
• Committed to apply quality and accountability standards (CHS) across program and organizational levels.
• Prepare implementation guidelines for the programs under her coordination.

Reports to: Plan and Programming Head

Number of positions: 2 (Two)

Duration: for six months & possibility extends based on performance evaluation and availability of budget

Educational Qualification and Experience

• BA/MA in Development studies, Sociology, Office Management, Management and any other Social Science fields with at least 5 years work experience for BA holders and 3 years work experience for MA holders in coordinating development and humanitarian programs (More importantly Women Empowerment Programs) in recognized NGOs.
• Have good track record proved by previous employers specifically in Programs management.
• Fluency in English is required
• Good report writing skill both in  English and Amharic language is mandatory
• Proven experience in establishing and maintaining healthy partnership with funding partners, government partners and other NGOs working in partnership.
