How to Apply for Mzuzu University Undergraduate Programmes 2019/2022, Mzuzu University Admissions 2019/2022.

The Admission Management of Mzuzu University (MZUNI) has announced the Generic Undergraduate Programmes to be Commence on 14th October 2019.

There are various programmes available at Mzuzu University and therefore the Undergraduate Programmes are released for 2019/2022 for prospective undergraduate Studies.

Mzuzu University is pleased to announce names of generic candidates who have been selected to pursue various programmes for the 2019/2022 Academic Year through the harmonised Selection Process coordinated by the National Council for Higher Education.

Mzuzu University is informing the selected candidates that they should report at the University campus on Monday 14th October, 2019 for registration, orientation and commencement of classes.

Fees

  • K350,000 for Malawian students
  • US$ 1,500 for non-Malawian students from SADC Countries
  • US$ 3,000 for non-Malawian students from Non-SADC Countries

The fees quoted above are subject to revision from time to time with or without notice.

Payment of Fees

Candidates are informed that they should pay at least half of the required fees per academic year for them to be registered in the first semester.

Fees can be paid in full or in two instalments at the beginning of each of the two semesters in an academic year.

Please make sure that you indicate your Registration Number indicated on the first page of the admission letter and payment type i.e. tuition, on the bank deposit slip. You will be required to present the bank deposit slip and transaction reference copy to the University Cashier during registration in order to get a receipt.

Only students who will have paid fees and fulfilled the registration requirements will be given authority to attend classes and access other services.

Stationery and Other Requirements

Students are requested to provide their own stationery.  Besides tuition fees, students are also required to meet other costs relating to upkeep during teaching practice, clinical practice and work place attachments as part of their academic programme  requirements.

Other requirements relate to research projects, uniforms and special equipment for use during studies. These costs are determined by individual Faculties and details of such requirements will be communicated during registration.

Board and Lodge

All candidates have been admitted under off-campus category.  Therefore, they are required to make their own arrangements for accommodation, transport, meals and general upkeep.

Original Certificates and Passport – size Photographs

All candidates are required to bring original copies of their academic certificates and two passport size photographs for registration.

Admission Letters

The University is sending an admission letter to each of the candidates with details regarding the admission and a medical form that should be completed by a medical practitioner. Candidates may also access a copy of the Admission letter at the University’s Porters Lodge.
