To prevent the spread of COVID-19, Addis Ababa University has changed the provision of 2nd Semester courses from face to face lecture to providing lectures via email, webpage and other online platforms. AAU is running very well its 2nd Semester scheduled classes by email, web site and other platforms for Regular Graduate Programs and both Undergraduate and Graduate Continuing education (Extension) programs.
Addis Ababa University is committed to complete the 2nd Semester scheduled programs as per the academic calendar for the regular graduate program and both undergraduate and graduate continuing programs. Thesis/dissertation defense will be conducted using Online Collaborative Tools such as Google Meet, Microsoft Team Meeting and Zoom Meeting. Virtual graduation will be held on 10th July 2022 and will be live transmitted via ETV and other TV channels, Google Meet, Microsoft Team Meeting and Zoom Meeting as well as Skype. Hence students have to continue contacting (and closely work with) their department, course instructors and advisor to complete their second semester courses and defend their thesis/dissertation in time.
Course materials including lecture notes, power point presentations and reference materials for the First Year and Senior Undergraduate Courses of the 2nd semester will be uploaded to our grand website, electronic learning management system and other collaborative platforms so that students can read until we officially reopen the university for the undergraduate programs. Hence regular undergraduate students are expected to regularly check AAU’s website.
