Yemisrach Social Enterprise (YSE) is a job placement service provider enterprise. The Enterprise mainly focuses on facilitating pre-employment skill trainings and linking job seekers with different companies/organizations. The enterprise is operating this social business model in a challenging but a problem solving, rewarding business environment with a learning through doing and learning by sharing approach. YSE is part of the global job booster network of Woord en Daad.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Regional coordinator provides direct services to different companies, industries, organizations and other type of employers in linking them with the job seekers. S/he identify the technical (hard skills) and behavioral skills (soft skills) needed by a given employer and facilitate a customized training for prospective employees at selected training centers and TVETs. The regional coordinator will work closely with concerned government sectors, training centers and TVETs to help identify qualified candidates for various companies. S/he will do skills and training needs assessment, job grading, and
referrals to TVETs or other training service providers. S/he closely work with enterprise director to ensure the clients are getting the required service and to match qualified skilled workers to available places when available.
The coordinator will play its role as a value addition service provider for potential employers and acts as a bridge linking for targeted job seekers with employers, and training centers/ institutions. The linkage service of the enterprise will make local labor markets work better for skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled jobless youths and women. In addition, the coordinator will create networks and provide job seekers with access to job information and employment.
YSE is a social enterprise with ambitious target in job placement and targeted to create successful job placement for 50,000 youth within 3 years.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
This position includes, but is not limited to, the following essential functions:
  • Marketing and promotion of the enterprise for different market segments;
  • Actively identify available employment opportunities in different companies/ organization and make a deal with prospective employers and job seekers;
  • Closely work with different companies to arrange placement of job seekers;
  • Deals with industries/companies and training providers to train youth tailor made or customized training and follow up the progress;
  • Developing and implementing employment placement plans for job seekers.
  • conduct regular check-ins with employers and training centers to address employers concerns and gather feedback on employees hired performance;
  • Work with concerned government officials to get job seekers/ jobless youths who are looking for job;
  • Collect and maintain individual job seekers records as required including timely and thorough completion of all necessary data and do job grading;
  • Conduct assessment of labor markets to identify constraints and opportunities for youth job placement;
  • Maintain and update a database of job opportunities and job seekers status;
  • Identify relevant, potential and interested TVETs and other training centers and facilitate a contractual agreement;
  • Must be familiar with Ethiopian labor law, employment law guidelines and labor market information system;
  • Prepare quarterly, monthly and weekly plan and prepare regular reports;
  • accountable for the standards of job seekers selection, pre-employment trainings, job placement, follow up after job placement and feedback collection from employers;
  • Cooperate with Employable Youth in Ethiopia program and its Job and Business Service (JBS) Officers in reaching more companies, accessing job seekers and for effective job placement;
  • Performs other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum of MA/MSc degree or BA/BSc degree in human resource, management, economics, marketing or other relevant disciplines;
  • At least 5 years (for Master’s) or 10 years (for Bachelor’s) combined professional work experience in the following: employment sector, job placement, industrial development, team leadership, program/project coordination/ support type roles, business
