ZE-EL Trading, a small sized Pvt. Ltd. Company is looking for a highly experienced, motivated, creative, business oriented and competent pharmacist for a General Manager position. ZE-EL is an importer and distributor of various pharmaceuticals, Medical equipment and supplies in Addis Ababa.

The incumbent will carry out overall Over all medical marketing, market analysis and pharmaceutical sales activities under the direct supervision of the General Manager. The position will offer employment benefits commensurate with earning history, qualification and experience.

Job Summary:

A medical representative’s job is to promote and sell their company’s products, whether that’s pharmaceutical drugs or medical equipment. Customers can include doctors, nurses and pharmacists. The medical representative will increase product awareness, answer queries, provide advice and introduce new products.

Full-time position: 40 hours per week

Reports to: General Manager

Key Duties and responsibilities:

  • Supports the entire chain from product registration to launch, promotion and marketing and sales.
  • Organising appointments and meetings with hospital and clinic based healthcare staff
  • Conducting relevant and systematic market research, trend analysis for private and public sectors
  • Organizes CMEs, Product launches etc.,
  • Demonstrating or presenting products to healthcare staff including doctors, nurses and pharmacists
  • Identifying and establishing new business
  • Negotiating contracts in consultation with his/her supervisor
  • Undertaking relevant research
  • Meeting both the business and scientific needs of healthcare professionals
  • Maintaining detailed records
  • Attending and organising trade exhibitions, conferences and meetings
  • Managing budgets
  • Reviewing sales performance
  • Writing reports and other documents
  • Submission of Dossiers for different products and as required conducting some regulatory work.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and training required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy
  • Previous experience or training as a marketing representative is an added advantage.
