Job Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION/PURPOSE:
The Office Administration Consultant is expected to provide office administrative support to the Political Parties Liaison Office (hereinafter ‘PPLO’)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: Standard office work environment.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet, direct and provide relevant information to PPLO visitors.
- Receive and handle requests or queries from political party representatives that come to the PPLO.
- Take the necessary administrative steps to address political parties’ requests and queries, depending on the nature and urgency of the matter.
- Provide logistics for events, such as conferences, workshops, seminars, luncheons and meetings organized by the PPLO.
- Support the preparation and assembly of briefing materials for events, as needed.
- Maintain a calendar of events for the PPLO.
- Develop a good working relationship with relevant departments within the NEBE to better liaise on events or activities that bring political parties together.
- Become familiar with the NEBE’s work with political parties including the laws that regulate its relationship with political parties.
- Serve as a resource to political parties seeking information or updates from the PPLO.
- Monitor changes within NEBE’s work or operations that are relevant to political parties and communicate them to parties accordingly.
- Support the preparation, publication and dissemination of information materials to political parties.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Not be a member of any political party.
- Willingness to adhere to all principles of confidentiality.
- Ability to conduct the work with integrity and good ethics.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong command in more than one NEBE working language preferred.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Public Administration, International Relations or a related field required.
- Six years of experience working in a similar position required.
- Proficiency in Word, Power point, Outlook and Excel
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Fluency in English and Amharic required; strong command in more than one NEBE working language preferred.
