Purpose of the Position:

The position holder will be responsible to coordinate JEOP IDP businesses and lead JEOP IDP staff stationed at Kochare Woreda at Gedeo Zone or Bulehora at Guji Zone. To maintain overall planning and implementation of all JEOP IDP activities in Gedeo and Guji Zones he/she will work closely with finance, field monitors, food monitors, stock controllers and other commodity team. Likewise, to ensure partnership networking and correspondence the position holder will work with Woreda and Zonal concerned governmental and non-governmental offices. Moreover, to maintain the quality of the operation and achieve the objective he/she closely working with JEOP IDP team particularly at HO and SRO level.

Major Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate the implementation of JEOP IDP activities and take all the necessary steps to make sure program implementation is in accordance with the objectives or purpose of the program;

· Play overall the leading, directing and supervising role of JEOP IDP staff under his supervision (Gedeo and Guji Zones);

· Ensure the compilation and documentation of JEOP IDP program activities through maintaining the donor commodity report requirements;

· Review relevant food transaction documents to check and provide feedback on practice of standard recording and documentation and reconciliation between different commodity transaction recording documents. In addition to that check and ensure if control procedures are adequate at each stage of JEOP IDP food handling and distribution process to prevent corruption and misappropriation;

· Provide technical support, guidance and capacity building on the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of JEOP IDP program in two JEOP IDP operational woredas based on the required reporting templets;

· Engage in standard and sound budget management practice for proper and timely implementation of JEOP IDP activities in two Zones;
· Lead and maintain a smooth and productive relationship with local government partners at Woreda and Zonal level for effective implementation of JEOP IDP program in two operational zones;
· Engage surprise & regular field visit to ensure and install a standardized food assistance resources and warehouse management system according to WV/donor standards at Woreda level and follow WVE/Donors warehousing management practices.
· Actively engage in team work at CPO and HO level through closely working with JEOP IDP and normal JEOP management bodies and other concerned technical staffs;

Job Requirements

Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience

· MA/MSc or BA/BSc Degree in Agric. Econ, Disaster Management, Rural Development, Economics, Development Studies and other related fields Experience: 6 years experiences on USAID funded emergency food assistance projects;

· Knowledge of Lotus, Excel, MS Word and MS Access, Power Point;

· Experience and knowledge of USAID funded emergency food assistance projects, Red Cross code of Conduct, SPHERE Standard and HAP standard;

· Emergency operations, insecurity and hardship field experience;

· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadline;

· Ability to work harmoniously under a multicultural set up;

· High degree of initiative, integrity and accountability;

· Excellent technical knowledge & certification, particularly on LMMS is advantageous;

· Experience of large commodity operations including distribution & staff management;

· Comprehensive experience on USAID FFP Title-II funded food program interventions (knowledge of reg.11, GACAP & WV commodity management policy) is also mandatory.
